The "New Wave" Water Trampoline

One of the newest and hottest items for summertime, is the water trampoline, an inflatable piece of equipment that is not only fun to jump on, but serves as an all-round center for family use.

A water trampoline offers the same bounce capability as any land style trampoline, but not with the same power. This is because of the inflatable rubber or PVC vinyl bumpers that house the steel frames. The bumpers flex, rise and fall, where the frame of a regular trampoline keeps the tension of the material you bounce on, at a constant strength. So while you cannot bounce as high, it adds an extra dimension of fun to your days on the water.

Depending on the size and style of the water trampoline that you purchase, the manufacturer may recommend that it only be used in water depths of over 10', and no less than 30' from a dock, anchored boat, or other obstruction. As in land trampolines, this is a safety precaution. It is possible to use them in swimming pools, but only under supervision, to ensure that there are no inappropriate actions that could lead to injury by falling against the side of a pool. For this reason, most inflatable water trampolines are anchored a short distance from the shore of a lake.

Not only are water trampolines great for a spring into summer fun, they serve as a resting platform while swimming, or just as a place to lay and soak up the sun. The accessories available make them an even better all-round ticket to summer fun, and the inflatable construction makes it easy to pack up and go wherever you want.
